What’s Global Warming?
January 20th, 2008 | by Saleha Merchant |There is variety of global concerns in the world today dealing with maintaining the planet and environment we live in. one such issue is global warming. Global warming is the increase in the average temperature of the earths near surface air and oceans in recent decades and its projected continuation.
Global warming is the result of not paying attention to the signs, every day we are surrounded by the IN CONVENIENT TRUTH of global warming. Ice plates shatter, temperatures rise, and hurricanes are developing in different places. Destructive of forests and excessive burning of fossil fuels has increased the level of CO2 (CARBON DIOXIDE) in atmosphere. CO2 traps the suns heat and prevents it from being re-radiated out. This results in the heating up of the earth’s atmosphere. This is called green house effect. Increasing of global warming temperature will cause sea level to rise, and is expected to increase the intensity of extreme weather events and to change the amount and pattern of precipitation. Other effects of global warming includes changes in agricultural yields, trade routes, glacier retreat, species extinctions and increases in the ranges of disease vectors. Other gases like SO2 (SULPER OXIDE), CFCs (CHLOROFLRO CARBONS) can also contribute the global warming. Pollution, especially from cars and from making electricity, is other major cause of global warming.
One of the most vital responsibilities is to protect our children, grand children and future generation from damage to the environment they will inherit. To prevent global warming we have to use cars and lights truck that get good gas mileage. Reducing our carbon and green hose emission will not only make our personal living space more sustainable but it will save our money not only in short run but also in long run. In order to prevent global warming we have to get knowledge about it. We have to educate ourselves about the precaution, which can reduce global warming. We have to grow plants like bamboo which not only help us in preventing global warming but they also grow faster, they produce 35% more oxygen than trees like oak or birch and they also require less chemical and care. Recycling is another process which can reduce global warming.
We might not face the side affects of global warming and neither will our children but our grand children and great grand children might. We cannot blame George W. Bush, we cannot blame countries, and we only have ourselves to blame.

global warming i think is the thinning of the ozone layer because of chlorofluorocarbons released from aerosol sprays and airconditioners
