Images play a vital role in website design and development process, as the look and feel can be completely controlled by it.

Attractive and Relevant Image for your website Design:

A good and attractive image captures attention, conveys emotion and tells a story. An image can make a webpage really effective not only because of its quality as mentioned, but also how well it fits into the context of the page. Effective images need to have a focus. Except when striving for a particular effect, fuzzy, vague or blurry pictures look unprofessional. There should also not be too many elements in an image because it distracts the reader from knowing what the image is about. A Balance of contrast and brightness is also important. Contrast is important to make your main character in the image stand out.

Use Appropriate Image Format:

For website development when you are using images in your website design then there are so many image formats. There are three most popular image formats are being GIF, JPEG, and to a lesser extent flash content. There are pros and cons to both. Basically, gifs are best for simple graphics or line drawings. The jpg format is better for photographs or full color images, but cannot be animated or used with a transparent background. So the better images are only produced with flash.

How the Web Access the images:

The web accessibility for images need alternative, or ALT, text assigned to them. This is because screen readers can’t understand images, but rather read aloud the alternative text assigned to them. Moreover, search engine robots can’t see your images, so they also need ALT tags.
