Norman Rockwell Prints During World War II

The series was brilliant by a dialogue by Franklin D. Roosevelt in which he describes four principles for universal rights. Rockwell himself considered Freedom of Speechto be the best of the four.
Rockwell was contacted after the war by writer Elliott Caplin brother of cartoonist Al Capp with the suggestion that three of them must make a daily clown strip together with Caplin and his brother writing and Rockwell drawing. King Features association is reported to have promise a 1,000 $ week deal expressive that a Capp Rockwell cooperation would expand strong public interest. The project was eventually abort as it twisted out that Rockwell identified for his exactness as an artist could not convey stuff as fast as required of him for a every day wit strip.
For the period of 1940s Norman Rockwell depleted the winter months as artist in residence at Otis College of Art and Design. Students rarely were model for his Saturday sunset Post cover. In 1949 Rockwell donate a unique Post cover April Foolto be raffled off in a library fund raiser and 1959 his wife Mary died suddenly and Rockwell take time off from his work to feel sad.
